Earleir we have shared Top keyboard shortcuts key for all windows which includes window 7,window xp etc. now here we are discussing new window 8 shortcuts.If the Windows 8 Consumer Preview is the first time you've had a chance to use Windows 8, you might feel a little lost at first. The best way to learn how to get around the new Metro design and settings, may be to use the new keyboard shortcuts.it is time to learn simple hotkeys to make windows 8 handling quick, efficient and interesting. Think about how it would have been if you had to always copy and paste by using the mouse in spite of simply pressing “ctrl + C” and “ctrl+ V”, the thought itself is irritating. Isn’t it?So here are some of the most useful short keys that will surely reduce your work, making life easy and obviously saving your time collectively
Charms
- Win+C: All charms
- Win+Q: Search charm
- Win+H: Share charm
- Win: Start charm/bar
- Win+K: Devices charm
- Win+I: Settings charm/sidebar
Search
- Win + type keyword: Instant application search (same as in Windows 7)
- Win+Q: Search apps
- Win+W: Instant Search settings
- Win+F: Instant Search files
in+F: Search files
Apps (Metro)
- Win+Z: Shows App Bar in Metro applications
- (Win+. ): Snap app to the left
- (Win+Shift+. ): Snap app to the right
- Alt+F4: Close an app
t+F4: Close an app
Desktop
- Win+D: Open standard Desktop
- (Win+, ) : Peek at desktop
- Win+B: Go Back to desktop
Other
- Win+X: Open system utility settings menu (Device Manager, Control Panel, Command Prompt, Power Options, etc.).
- Win+PrntScrn: Take screenshot and save to Pictures
- Win + J Switches focus between snapped Metro apps.
- Win + Page Up / Down: Moves full-screen Metro app to secondary monitor.
- Win + Left / Right arrow: Moves and snaps desktop applications in that direction, or to a different monitor.
- Win + Tab: Switches between open applications. Similar to using the left-upper hot corner with a mouse.
- Win + L: Locks Windows.
- Win+T: Preview open windows in taskbar
- Win+U: Open Ease of Access Center
- Win+Spacebar: Switch windows language and keyboard
