5 Ways To Delete A Folder Which Shows “Folder/File cannot Be Deleted”,"Access Denied”

2. Using command prompt(DEL or RMDIR)

Open the command window and it can be done using shortcut key windows key+R,enter:cmd.
now move the folder in question by mean of CD command like \CD and CD foldername.
Now delete the folder using del command to delete file or RMDIR (remove directory) command to remove directory folders.

If still you have problem in deleting the file then you have to make use of task manager to to kill the explorer.exe program which is responsible to give error in deleting the file..

for this just leave the command line window on the desktop and open the task manager which you can access using “ctrl+shift+esc “command.Now kill all .exe task.your desktop will now become blank except the command window you have already opened.
Now try to delete the folder using RMDIR command and file using DEL command.
After that to restart your desktop you have to give command in command line window enter: explorer
to restart your desktop.
you can also restart explorer by using a different way that is opening task manager by using shortcut given above.In task manager select application>new task>and enter:explorer.
Now restart your computer again and that it your folder or file will be deleted.

3. To delete hidden And system files:

This method deal with the files that are hidden and system attribute files.You can delete such files by using command prompt.Open the command line window and drag the folder in command line window.
to show all the files using attrib command which are as below

R-read only
H-hidden
S-system
Delete the folder using command:
del/f/a:s
del/f/a:h

4. To delete “access rights” folder

If you have error like access denied then this method will work for you.In this case you must have logged in as admin to take these steps ad this will works for windows xp

right click on the folder>properties.
select the security tab
click on the advanced owner,and take the ownership.
make username and authorized full control.
apply and click on OK .Now you have done and you can delete the folder.

5. Removing the Hard disk:

This trick will work for you if you are using desktop pc.What you have to do is simply remove the hard disk from your computer and insert it into anther pc or desktop may be in your friends computer.And simply you will be able to delete that file or folder because you have changed the operating system and program associated with that file/folder.s this also the simplest way to fix your problem in just a second.
